Along the eastern fringe of Kolkata city is situated the Kasba
township. Kasba is a small locality and amidst regions of Kustia,
Dhakuria and Baliganja. The place is connected by many small road to
the adjoining centres which in turn are connected to the city at
large. The region forms on of the residential areas of the city. An
adequate number of institutes and facilities are provided within its
premises.
Kasba region is not gifted with any of the historical structures,
neither is there any modern marvels present in Kasba. However, there
are providers of basic facilities and amenities. Some nearby
attractions of Kasba are Rabindra Sarovar, Abah Mahal and Gariahat
Market. Important institutes and not far from Kasba include the City
College and Ruby General Hospital (within the precincts of Kasba).

- The Kasba region stands at a distance of about 9 kms from the
main city. Santosh Chowdhary Road links the region to Benakpur
area, hub of road transportation in the region.
- Baliganja Railway Station is the nearest to the city.
- Domestic Airport is about 10 kms away whereas international
airport is 12 kms far from Kasba area.
